When is the last time you took a risk? How did it work out?
A few years ago, I began to make art in order to heal myself from a few devastating events. I took art therapy, and I watched my countenance change. Art is a universal healer and there are many ways to engage witb it. Typically, I like working with bright colors. Colors have a tendency to tell you how you are feeling at any given moment in time.
Art actually started to work well for me quickly. I think I was so shocked I pulled back. It’s hard to break old patterns and embark on the new. We get set in routines. We become entrenched in the familiar. But when I look back at the art and design me– it’s so vibrant. All of it feeds the writer inside, but the design can’t be left of the menu. So maybe I’m being shown something on a spiritual level?

So, this response goes with yesterday’s response. Looking back, I would have stayed the course, but it seemed too easy. That’s my lesson. Everything actually doesn’t have to be hard. It can be easy. We just make it hard.
