Do you play in your daily life? What says “playtime” to you?
The title of this post felt like a fun song, but it’s also true. I am ok alone, but it’s better with a friend. I feel like I’m having fun even when I’m not doing anything spectacular. It’s either the spirit of being an only child for 13 years that lives within me, or the fact I’m an artist. You don’t grow up to be a creative without having a bit of imagination. Sole days, there’s a real carnival going on in my mind sometimes.
However, I’ve already mentioned that I’m currently in need of some real fun in my life. I don’t know what that is. A vacation is great, but I don’t know if that’s it. I am pretty open to try new things, which is why I give off an air of agreeableness most times. It’s really just a mix of curiosity and going with the funners flow.

There are some regular things I like to do. I like to dance. Dancing off all my stress and hearing music in general is fun to me. I love to singing Karaoke—especially at a quaint Korean club or small noodle house. Soju, noodles, K-pop and, hits from the 1990s, what’s not to love.
I like gathering with friends, and trying new food. There are a bunch of cuisines I have yet to try and possibly even make. Crafting is playtime for me. I love making things. Not only does your home feel more inviting, there is a tremendous sense of accomplishment that comes along with it. I also love dramatic movies. Especially ones make me yell at the screen. Truthfully, I never wanted to grow into that obnoxious person that talks back at the movie screen, or the one who keeps asking,”what did they say?” But, I’m totally her.

The biggest issue I have some times is the fact that I’m impatient. I don’t like to wait. I’m getting better though. I used to move around life with so many people for so long until I discovered I could cover more ground alone. I could explore more. Meet more people and sometimes do more things. Playtime still includes others but I’m also ok with meeting new people wherever I go and having fun as well.
Cheers to a happy and New Year.
